Challenging conventional wisdom: new applications and emerging ideas in geomorphology

Recent papers have challenged the convention thinking across several domains in geomorphology. These high profile papers have simulated discussion, controversy and in some cases, replies in kind. Examining these papers and alternative interpretations provides insight into how a field like geomorphology moves forward (or not). The discussions will progress to include innovative applications and emerging techniques for resolving controversies and answering age-old geomorphic questions.
